| Speech
language pathologists (SLPs) are trained to assess and treat
problems related to communication. Communication is essential
to learning, interactions, working and enjoying life with family
and friends. Conditions that could impact an adult’s ability
to access and use language include stroke, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s
disease, traumatic brain injury, central nervous system tumors,
head and neck cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, laryngitis,
vocal cord dysfunction, and vocal nodules. Conditions impacting
a child’s communication abilities include cerebral palsy,
developmental delays, language impairment, traumatic brain injury,
craniofacial disorders, (cleftlip/palate), articulation and/or
phonological disorders, congenital heart disease, gastrointestinal
conditions, and prematurity. SLPs at Total Rehab Center are also
experienced in assisting adults and children who have feeding
or swallowing problems.

of all ages. An evaluation will be completed on your
first visit to enable the SLP to determine, with you,
the most efficient and effective treatment for your condition. |

will be completed. It will provide the therapist with essential
information to customize a rehabilitation program designed to
meet your individual needs. |
